Mason Condello, CEO

Hello, I’m Mason Condello! I’m a senior at Palos Verdes High School and I have a 4.9/4.0 GPA. I am happy to tutor in any subject as I have 5s on AP exams such as Biology, English Language, PreCalculus, World History and more. In addition to being an Ap scholar with distinction I am the President of Science National Honor Society, Secretary general of Model UN, President of Mu Alpha Theta, President of PV Math Lab, President of the Philosophy Club, District sustinability board representative, and winner of the George Eastman Young Leaders award. Outside of school I am the Head coach of the Challenger Basketball Team and a Cadet for the LaCo Junior lifeguard program. Along with this I am a published author and researcher in a Cardiology lab where I read CT scans of patients with coronary artery calcium. In my free time I love surfing, skateboarding, cooking, and watching my favorite TV show House M.D. I’m super excited to meet all of you!

Jason Lee, CEO

Hey! My name is Jason Lee, and I’m currently a senior at Palos Verdes High School. I’ve taken various honors and AP courses, receiving a 5 on 5 AP tests and being an AP Scholar with Distinction, and I have maintained a 4.8 weighted GPA throughout my years in highschool. My favorite subjects are math, science, and English, but I would love to help with any other subjects as well. On campus, I hold various leadership positions including being a VP for Be The Change, the VP of membership for Science National Honor Society, and the editor-in-chief of Humans of PVHS. I have experience teaching through coaching youth basketball and mentoring volunteers at Torrance Memorial, and I find great satisfaction in watching the growth and development of students learn and improve. In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, playing basketball, and finding undiscovered talents of mine.

Olivia Kao, CEO

Hey there! My name is Olivia and I am a senior at PV with a 4.9 weighted GPA and a 1540 SAT. I’ve earned the AP Capstone Diploma and am an AP Scholar with Distinction, scoring 4s and 5s on World History, Calculus, US History, Research, and more. I am happy to tutor in all subjects with a focus on math and English (especially writing) of any level. At school, I enjoy editing out the persistent usage of the Oxford comma in articles as an Editor-in-Chief for our school newspaper and playing clarinet at football games in the marching band. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling to Sacramento to speak with state legislators, conducting research on civic education, and leading a music service organization, PVMC, with my friend and fellow tutor Annalia. You might catch me listening to whatever band I’m currently into, watching a mix of cinematic masterpieces and questionable Netflix rom-coms, playing guitar with friends, or walking my dog Bixby on the cliffs!

Eto Uchiyama

Hi, my name is Eto Uchiyama! I’m a senior at Palos Verdes High School with a 4.8 weighted GPA. I’m recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction, with 5s on AP Environmental Science, AP Japanese, AP World History, and 4s on AP English Language and AP Art History. I also have two Seals of Biliteracy for my fluency in English, Japanese, and French. My favorite subjects are math and english, but I’m happy to tutor in any subject! At school, I’m on the board for MUN, a Design/Finance lead for our nationally ranked PVIT ROV robotics team, and the Commissioner of Arts in ASB. I’m a member of the Triton yearbook committee, French Honor Society, CSF, and I used to run Varsity Cross-Country/Track for two years. I have prior experience tutoring as independent work, as well as from taking care of my two younger siblings at home. In my free time, I like to read books, paint, travel, and spend time with friends and family.

Crystal Yang

Hey everyone! I’m Crystal Yang, a Palos Verdes High School senior with a 4.9/4.0 GPA and a 1540 SAT. I am happy to tutor in any academic subject area (especially math and computer science) as I have received 5s on 5 AP exams (Statistics, Calc BC, Computer Science A, Principles, and Chinese). In addition to being an AP Scholar with Distinction, I am Captain of the Cyberpatriots team, President of Mu Alpha Theta/math club, and Vice President of the Asian Culture Club. Outside of school, I coach a math club that I founded at my elementary school and work part-time at Mathnasium, which gives me experience in teaching kids of all ages and abilities, from addition/subtraction to Calculus. Additionally, I attended Stanford’s summer quarter, where I took CS106B, which acquainted me with C++ and advanced programming techniques such as data abstraction. Jenyne Ebreo

Hey everyone! I’m Jenyne Ebreo, a senior at Palos Verdes High School. I have a 3.9/4.4 GPA. My favorite subjects include Chemistry, English and Psychology. In school I am heavily involved in numerous clubs and organizations such as NHS, NEHS, SNHS, CSF, Link Crew, Red Cross, PVOW, GSA and founded the Filipino Culture Club. In addition, I have been a part of the school’s award winning Triton Yearbook ever since freshman year and a proud member of the girl’s golf team. In and out of campus, I dedicate myself to volunteering and service organizations such as the Luna Peak Foundation, Red Cross, SEA and Urban Community Outreach. On weekends, I hang out with my friends at Yogurtland and the beach. If I’m not there, I’m most likely rewatching Modern Family or at Starbucks. I’m so excited to meet you all and look forward to working with you!

Allison Yu

Hi everyone! My name is Allison Yu and I’m a senior at Palos Verdes High School. I have a 4.95 GPA and I have gotten 5s on many AP tests including Chemistry, Calculus BC, APUSH, and Spanish Lang. At school, I am the Chief Information Officer for our PVIT ROV team (we recently placed 10th in the world!), I am a PEF Ambassador, and I love playing the violin in our school’s amazing musicals. Outside of school, I enjoy volunteering with South Bay Math Circle, dancing, traveling with my family, and getting Crumbl cookies. I can’t wait to meet you all!

Megan White

Hi everyone! My name is Megan White and I’m a senior at Palos Verdes High School. I have taken many honors and AP classes, and have scored 4s and 5s on 7 AP tests (including US History, English Language, French Language, Precalculus, and more). In addition to being an AP Scholar with Distinction, I have also maintained an unweighted GPA of 4.0, and a weighted GPA of 4.9 throughout highschool. I enjoy many subjects, but I’m best at math, science, and English. I am also a member of ASB as well as the Varsity Song team, PVIT, MUN, and Science Research at PV High. In addition, I am also a participant in National Honor Society, CSF, and Vice President of French National Honors Society. Outside of Palos Verdes High School, I am involved in the National Charity League as well as the California YMCA Model Legislature and Court. I love to travel and try many different foods from around the world, as well as enjoy time with my friends and family at home. I’m so excited to meet you all!

Akira Yoshihara

Hey everyone! My name is Akira Yoshihara and I’m a senior at Palos Verdes High School. I currently have a 4.67/4.0 GPA, and I also am an AP Scholar with Distinction. My specialty subjects are Chemistry, Biology, and Math, as I have received 5’s in these subjects (AP Chemistry, Biology, and Precalculus). At school, I am co-president of Chess Club, VP of membership in Science National Honors Society, and Treasurer for Science Olympiad. Additionally, I am an active member of CSF, Math Honors Society, Science Research, Counselor Advisory Council, and more. Furthermore, I have tutoring experience from being involved in the Peer Tutor Math Program and teaching friends/other students in chemistry as well. Outside of school, I have recently been shadowing an Orthopaedic Surgeon, and I also try to volunteer whenever I can. Ethan Sung

Hey! I’m Ethan Sung and I’m a senior attending Palos Verdes High School. I’ve attained a GPA of 4.87/4.00 and an SAT superscore of 1540 (mathematics 800), also achieving AP Scholar with Distinction. My most passionate subjects are English, Mathematics, and Science (Chemistry and Biology). On campus, I’m involved in Science Olympiad (President), Science Research (YSEA Award), The Point, Science NHS (VP), NHS, NEHS, CSF, CAC, Be The Change (Treasurer), LINK, Asian Culture Club (President), CARE (President), LLS Club (President) and the Varsity Swim team. I regularly volunteer at Torrance Memorial Medical Center, Silver Spur Elementary Math Club, and as a PEF Student Ambassador. I also conducted research at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center using mouse models to find the neural circuits involved in obesity resistance. During my free time, I enjoy helping at my church and playing basketball. I look forward to working with all of you!

Owen Jones

Hello! My name is Owen Jones and I am a senior attending Palos Verdes High School. I have maintained a 4.0 unweighted and 4.8 weighted GPA throughout high school. I have earned 5's on 4 AP tests, and I participate in activities around campus like FCA, CSF, and PVIT. I am the Electrical Lead for the FRC Team and play attack on the Varsity Lacrosse team. Over the years, my favorite subjects have grown to be math, physics, and engineering. These three are also my strong suits, especially Algebra and Electricity and Magnetism. Off campus, I participate in Challengers Basketball and work at lacrosse camps as a coach for young kids among many other things. My favorite superhero is Batman, and I love Ben and Jerry's Peanut Butter Fudge Core Ice Cream. I look forward to helping students in need of a little academic aid.

Kate Fukushima

 Hello! My name is Kate Fukushima, and I’m a senior at Palos Verdes High School. I have maintained over a 4.9 GPA, and I intend on keeping it up this year! I’m the Vice President of Be the Change, a captain on the Varsity softball team, and the Girls State Delegate. I’m also the President of English NHS, Vice President of Science NHS and Spanish NHS, Co-Founder of Girl Up Club, Executive Producer of Open Orchard Productions, and an active member in CSF, NHS, PVIT, and Link Crew. My favorite subjects include math and psych, and I have received 4’s and 5’s on AP Seminar, AP Lang, and AP Psych. Outside of school, I volunteer through the National Charity League as well as for the Willenberg Special Education Center. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and making chocolate-covered strawberries for my business, Kate’s Kreations!

Mattias Eberhart

Hello everyone! My name is Mattias Eberhart and I'm a Senior at Palos Verdes High School and have a 4.9/3.9 GPA. Throughout high school I’ve passed eight AP tests, recognizing me as an AP Scholar with Distinction. My strongest subjects are Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Spanish. I have a deep passion for teaching as I offer a unique approach to each subject, focussing on mastering the fundamentals while opening students to out of the box thinking. At school I’m a co-president of our VEX Robotics team,  the president of our school’s Physics Club, a board member of Science National Honors Society, and more! Outside of school I’m the president of Student Environment Advocacy (SEA), a non-profit organization I co founded which aims to reinforce sustainable efforts in our local communities. To relax I enjoy spending time with my friends, playing video games, cooking, and listening to music! 

Cole Foster

Hi! My name is Cole Foster and I am a senior at Palos Verdes High School. I have a 4.9 GPA and I am an AP scholar with distinction.  I have received 4s and 5s in AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Physics 1, and AP world history. In school I serve as president of Science National Honor Society as well as president of Chinese National Honor Society. I am Varsity team captain of both Cross Country and Track and Field. I participate in science research, CSF, and the Los Hermanos Charity organization. I particularly enjoy tutoring in any of the sciences as well as math but I can also tutor other subjects. Hailey Kim

Hi everyone! I’m Hailey Kim, a senior at Palos Verdes High School with a 4.9 weighted GPA. I’m happy to tutor in any academic subject, drawing on my experience in numerous AP classes and having earned the AP Capstone Diploma. My favorite subjects are English and Science, and I love diving into Seminar and Research courses to push beyond the boundaries of the classroom. In addition to my academic pursuits, I’m the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of The PV Journal, the Opinion Editor of The Point Newspaper, President of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Club, Vice President of the Science National Honor Society, and a Peninsula Education Foundation ambassador. Outside of school, I’m passionate about science research, which I pursue as an intern at the Lundquist Institute/LA BioMed, along with independent research projects focused on my interests in medical humanities. In my free time, I love spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, traveling, listening to music, and connecting with new people. I’m really looking forward to meeting all of you!

Joey Balcom

Hi everyone! I’m Joey Balcom, a senior at Palos Verdes High School. I have a 4.0 unweighted and 5.0 weighted GPA. I am happy to tutor in all subjects, but my favorites are math, physics, and computer science. My scores of 5s and 4s across 8 exams have recognized me as an AP Scholar with Distinction. Outside of the classroom, I am VP of Speakers for SNHS, co-founder of Chess Club, and a member of PVIT, and I love researching how AI can be used to detect various forms of cancer as well as interning at a stock trading start-up. When I’m not busy, I love hanging out with my friends, watching shows, or playing video games. I look forward to working with you all!

Carolina Juelle

 Hello, my name is Carolina Juelle! I am a junior at Palos Verdes High School, and I have a 5.0/4.0 GPA. I am also an AP Scholar, having taken World History, European History, and Spanish Language and Culture. I am happy to tutor in any subject; my favorites include mathematics, Spanish, and science. Additionally, on campus I am involved with Be the Change, the Varsity Song team, Link Crew, Model United Nations, PVIT, Friendship Club, and various honor societies. Zach Shen

Hey everyone! My name is Zach Shen, I’m a junior at Palos Verdes High School, and I currently have a 4.9/4.0 GPA. I have passed all four of my AP exams, including a 5 on the precalculus exam, qualifying me as an AP Scholar with Honor. In school, I participate in science research, baseball, link crew, CSF, and a variety of clubs, including Math Club. I’m also the treasurer for National Chinese Honor Society, the Business Lead for PVIT FRC, and the Commissioner of Activities in Be The Change. My strongest subject is math, but I can definitely help out in English, science, etc. Outside of school, I am helping start a nonprofit organization called DREAMBUILDERS, and I was the president of my class last year for the National League of Young Men. I also love to travel, go to the gym, listen to music, watch movies, and hang out with friends. I look forward to meeting all of you!

Ryann Andrews

Hi everyone! My name is Ryann Andrews, and I am a junior at Palos Verdes High School. I have a 4.0 unweighted and a 5.0 weighted GPA. In school, I am the founder of Thrifting for Turtles, an environmental club focused on wildlife, historian for Model United Nations, and business lead for the First Robotics team of Palos Verdes Institution of Technology, which went to Worlds this past year. I love talking to and helping people, which is why I volunteer at Community Helpline every week, and also why I became a link crew leader. In my free time, you can find me on the beach volleyball courts, as I am going into my third year of varsity beach volleyball at PV.  I also love baking, painting, and spending time with friends, family, and my dog! I can’t wait to tutor you! 

Logan Kim

Hey guys! I'm Logan Kim, a junior at PVHS. I have a 4.0 unweighted and 4.7 weighted GPA. I'm most comfortable tutoring math and computer science, which are also my 2 favorite subjects. In school I have been a part of the PVIT Space Team as the Lead Software Engineer, a player on the basketball team, and a member of CSF, NEHS, and TSA. Outside of school I started a nonprofit called Joy Card Project that collects and distributes cards for the elderly. I am also the social chair for my volunteer group, Los Amigos. This past summer I studied at the TCU Neeley Analytics Academy, which was an amazing experience where I met some extremely cool people and expanded my knowledge. Maryam Soliman

Hi everyone! My name is Maryam Soliman, I’m a Junior at Palos Verdes High School. I’ve maintained a 3.9 unweighted GPA and a 4.87 weighted GPA. I enjoy all subjects, but my favorites include biology, chemistry, and spanish. I have scored a 5 and a 4 on AP Biology and AP World History. At school, I am a part of various honors societies, including NEHS,SNHS,SHH, Tri-M and CSF. Additionally, I’m President of our Middle Eastern Student Union and an active member of Science Research, OOP, and the Drama Department at PVHS. I’ve placed second and third at the PV Science Fair and the LA County Science Fair, respectively. Off campus, I have experience tutoring younger students in English through my church, and I am also interning at a laboratory at the Harbor-UCLA Lundquist Institute. I am beyond excited to work with all of you!

Micheal Wang

Hi everyone! My name is Michael Wang, and I am a junior at Palos Verdes High School. I have maintained a 4.8/4.0 GPA, and my favorite subjects are math and science. I have earned 4s/5s in common AP Classes including World and US History, and I am fluent in Chinese, my native language. I am on the PVIT Vex Robots team, which competed in the California State competition last year. I am also an executive board member for the Tri-M Honors Society, principal second of the PVHS orchestra, and a member of PVMC which performs at various hospitals and retirement homes. Although I’m unlikely to continue playing tennis, I was on Varsity in previous years and competed in Junior Team Tennis at the National level. Outside of school, I enjoy going on walks by the cliffs and going to the beach. I am more than willing to tutor a variety of subjects, and I'm looking forward to working with you!

Ruka Ito

Hello, my name is Ruka Ito, I’m currently a Junior at Palos Verdes High school. I have maintained a 4.7 unweighted GPA and a 3.8 weighted GPA and am an AP scholar with Honor. I have a passion to learn science with an emphasis on chemistry and biology excelling also in math and history. At school, I am actively taking part in programs such as PVIT, NSHS, NEHS, CSF, Link Crew, and Varsity Swim. My greatest contribution is to the PVIT, high school engineering program and am a part of the underwater robotics team as the lead mechanical engineer along with volunteering service programs in the community at Torrance Memorial Medical Center. Additionally, I am proficient in Japanese and am welcome to assist students in it as a secondary language. Thank you, I look forward to working with you.

Annalia Henderson

Hi there! My name is Annalia Henderson, and I’m a junior at PVHS. I’m excited to help out in any subject area, but I’m most experienced in STEM. I’ve scored 5s in all my APs including Computer Science A, Physics C -E&M, Physics C -Mechanics and Calculus BC, while maintaining a 4.0/5.0 GPA. I’ve been involved in tennis and swimming, Science Research, TSA, PVIT ROV and Battlebots, Tri-M Music Honors Society and SNHS. I’m also the president of Phenomenal Food and Friends, a potluck club, and co-president of PV Musical Connections, a music volunteering club. I looove music and play the cello, piano, Korean harp, and bass recorder. I’ve had the opportunity to work with students of all ages, whether as a Unit Head at Sunrise Day Camp this summer or teaching tennis and cello. Outside of school I enjoy shopping for delicious Korean food, programming LED light shows, and biking. I’m really looking forward to meeting you all!!!

Isabella Juelle

Hello everyone! My name is Isabella Juelle and I am a senior at Palos Verdes High School. I have taken a variety of honors and AP classes and hold a 4.97/4.0 GPA while being an AP Scholar with Distinction. I enjoy all subjects, but especially like math, science, English, and Spanish. In addition to my academics, I have focused greatly on being involved on campus. I am currently a President of Be the Change, Model United Nations Secretary General, Tradewinds Editor in Chief, PVIT UAV Team Leader, and in many honor societies. Outside of school I love volunteering through the National Charity League, meeting up with friends, going for walks with my dog, and spending time at the beach. I look forward to working with you!

Evan Lahr

Hello everyone! My name is Evan Lahr and I am a senior at Palos Verdes High School. I maintain a 4.8/3.9 GPA. I have gotten 5’s on multiple AP exams. I have a passion for all subjects, however, my favorite subjects are math, spanish, and english. I am a member of multiple honors societies and clubs on campus and enjoy being a part of our school’s mock trial team. I am also a part of the varsity basketball team and enjoy coaching youth basketball. In my free time I love spending time with my family and my friends and like going to the gym. Lea Yang

Hi everyone! My name is Lea Yang, and I am a junior at Palos Verdes High School. I have a 4.87 GPA and am an AP Scholar with Honor, having scored 5s on AP World History, AP European History, and AP Precalculus. I can tutor in almost any subject, but my strengths are in History, English, and Math. At school, I am the VP of Membership for Science National Honor Society and Treasurer of Tri-M Honor Society. I’m also involved in CSF, Spanish NHS, and English NHS, and I play as the principal viola in our school’s orchestra. Additionally, I’m a nationally-ranked fencer competing at the Division 1 level, and outside of school, I intern as a marketing and business strategist at a biotech startup. Nick Jardin

Hi everyone! My name is Nick Jardin, and I’m a junior at Palos Verdes High School. I have a 5.0 Weighted GPA and am recognized as an AP Scholar with Honor, having received scores of 4’s or 5’s on all my AP tests. In school, I am the Model United Nations Treasurer, a Vice President of Science National Honor Society, a Vice President of National Chinese Honor Society, a member of a Technology Student Association (TSA) National Finalist team, a member of a First Robotics Competition (FRC) World Finalist team, and a member of the Varsity Cross Country Team. I’m also the South Bay Chinese School (SBCS) Senior Yearbook Editor and have completed the Piano Certificate of Merit (CM) level 10. Outside of school, you’ll find me helping children learn coding at Code Ninjas and playing piano for senior citizens at nursing homes. In my free time, I enjoy playing with my dog Lexie and frying my lungs from running. I’m looking forward to working with you!

Maven Ding

 Hi everyone! I am Maven Ding, a junior at Palos Verdes High School. I have a 4.9 weighted GPA with a 4.0 unweighted, and I will have taken 7 AP classes by the end of this year.  On campus I am the co-president of Morgan’s Message, a club that promotes mental health awareness in student-athletes, and I am a part of Open Orchard Productions, a broadcast journalism podcasting course. I am also an active member in CSF, SNHS, NEHS, and SHH, along with being a part of the high school softball team. Outside of school, I play competitive travel softball and dedicate many hours to volunteering through NCL. I specialize in teaching all subjects to younger students. In my free time, you will find me spending time with my friends, watching movies, going to the beach, or staying home with my cats!

Krystal Deng

Hey everyone! I’m Krystal Deng and I’m a junior at Palos Verdes High School, where I'm involved in FNHS, SSHS, NEHS, and CSF. I have a 4.9/4.0 GPA and have received 5s and 4s on all my AP Exams. I'm the President of Thrifting for Turtles, a non-profit organization highlighting the environmental impact of fast fashion through education and fundraisers. Additionally, I have a solid background in public speaking, with years of experience across several formats. I'm Vice President of Training at PVHS MUN, having won multiple awards; I'm also active in PVHS's Mock Trial program, and part of a nationally competitive team outside school. During my downtime, I love making matcha lattes, watching Formula 1, and trying new cafés with my friends. I’m also fluent in speaking Mandarin Chinese and I’m thrilled to tutor in all subjects, edit essays, coach beginner Mock Trial/MUN, and more. I can’t wait to meet you!

Sydney wynn

Hey everyone! I’m Sydney Wynn and I am a junior at Palos Verdes High School. I maintain a 4.0/4.9 GPA, and have received 5s on AP World History and AP Biology. I am a member of the varsity girls water polo and swim teams, and am also involved in many other activities around school, including SNHS, ENHS, Orchestra, Link Crew and Science Research. Outside of school, I am a Cadet for the LA County Lifeguard Division and have recorded over 100 hours interning in a lab at the Lundquist Institute. In my free time, you can find me surfing, hiking, and hanging out with my dogs! Although I can tutor in all subjects, my strongest are biology, chemistry, and math. Lena Peresztegi

Hi everyone! My name is Lena Peresztegi, I’m a junior at Palos Verdes High School. I have a 3.9 unweighted GPA and a 4.8 weighted GPA. I enjoy most subjects but my favorites are chemistry and spanish. I have scored a 5 and a 4 on AP World History and AP Art History. In school I am VP of Speakers for Science National Honor Society, President of Science Journal Club, and a part of Spanish Honor Society, English Honor Society, and Science Research.Through Science Research I advanced all the way to the International Science and Engineering Fair in Dallas where I placed 3rd in the Cellular and Molecular Biology category. Outside of school, I have interned at a lab at USC through the BUGS Jr. Program, presented my research at an international APS meeting, and I’ve become an ambassador for Young Women in Bio. In my free time I love to paint, travel, and spend time with my friends and family.

Rayaan Jaffer

Hi everyone, My name is Rayaan Jaffer, and I am a Junior at Palos Verdes High School. I have maintained a 4.0 unweighted and a 4.8 weighted GPA. I have taken three AP classes and am taking six more this year. I am a part of many clubs, including Science National Honor Society, CSF,  Steps For A Cure, Link Crew, and many others. I can tutor in Mathematics and Chemistry. I am a part of PVIT on the ROV team. Outside of school, I am a Marketing Director for a local Retail Business. Ariena Thurairajah

Hi! I’m Ariena Thurairajah, a Junior at Palos Verdes High School. I have a 4.0/5.0 GPA and am an AP Scholar with Honor. At school I’m on the choreo dance team, the founder/president of American Sign Language club, VP of South Asian & African Student Heritage Association, on the board of MUN, and a part of many clubs like SNHS, NEHS, CAC, CSF, Spanish NHS, Rho Kappa, as well as science research. My favorite subject is science and would love to tutor biology or environmental science, but I’m also happy to tutor many other subjects. In my free time, I love to dance, spend time with friends, and sculpt miniatures with polymer clay. I look forward to meeting you all!
