Hi everyone! My name is Caeden Kim, and I’m a senior at Palos Verdes High School. I have a 4.9 weighted GPA and have received a perfect 36 on the ACT; I am an also an AP Scholar with Distinction. In school, I am the Captain of our Varsity Song Team and Vice President of Be the Change. I am also VP of External Relations for MUN, CTO of our PVIT Space Team, and an active member of Mu Alpha Theta, SNHS, NHS, and Link Crew. Outside of school, I am the Ambassador Chair of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and a teaching assistant for a local Korean Saturday School. Over the summer, I interned at The Boeing Company, and I’m currently conducting research under Zitnik Lab at Harvard Medical School. My favorite subjects are math, science, and history, as I’ve received 4’s and 5’s on AP World, AP Bio, AP Stats, APUSH, and AP Calc BC. In my free time, you can find me taking pilates or spin classes, watching Marvel movies, or getting Crumbl cookies! I love tutoring and am looking forward to helping you all succeed!

Naomi Kao, CEO

STANFORD UNIVERSITY

Hey everyone! My name is Naomi Kao and I’m a senior this year at Palos Verdes High School. I have a 4.97/4.0 GPA and an SAT superscore of 1570. I am also an AP Scholar with Distinction and received my AP Capstone Diploma. At school, I am President of Tri-M Honors Society and Principal Cellist of the PVHS Orchestra, the Cloyden (String) Quartet, and musical orchestra pits; Two-year Captain of the Girls Varsity Tennis Team; President of Science National Honors Society; and Founder/President of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Club. Outside of school, I enjoy science research at the Lundquist Institute/LA BioMed as well as interning for Indelible Learning, Inc., a developer of STEM games and educational programs. Although I tutor primarily in math and science, I would be more than happy to give you cello and/or tennis lessons, or even a 10-minute spiel on why you should come to PVHS, join the music department, and participate in its musicals. Otherwise, you can find me on the tennis courts, color-coding my planner with highlighters and post-its, respectfully arguing with my sisters, jamming to my Spotify, or hanging out at my friend Amber’s house. Jenna Chow

Hi! I'm Jenna Chow, and I am a senior at Palos Verdes High School. I am an AP Scholar With Distinction with a 4.9 weighted and 4.0 unweighted GPA. At school, I am the CEO of PVIT ROV and President of the Red Cross Club.  I’m also in the English, Science, Spanish, and Math Honor Societies as well as MUN and Science Research. Outside of school, I am a NOVAs member, the Las Ninas President and have received 900+ volunteer hours at the Orthopedic Institute for Children and Torrance Memorial Medical Center. In my spare time, I love traveling, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. I enjoy tutoring math and spanish and look forward to working with you!

Amber Chen

Hello everyone! My name is Amber Chen, and I am a senior at Palos Verdes High School. Aside from maintaining a 4.93/4.0 GPA and being an AP Scholar with Distinction, I have also earned the AP Capstone Diploma and the Seal of Biliteracy. Although I primarily focus on English and Spanish, I would also be happy to teach Chinese and violin. On campus, I am editor-in-chief of The Point Student Newspaper, senior editor for the Tradewinds Literary Magazine, secretary of TRI-M music honor society, and a violinist for the PVHS orchestra. Outside of school, I volunteer with the South Bay Senior Care Organization and have recently been promoted to the chairman position. In my free time, you can find me reading a good thriller series, extending my 500+ day streak on Duolingo, or rollerblading at a local elementary school while wishing I could return to such an uncomplicated school life… but that’s besides the point. I am looking forward to helping you succeed in your academic endeavors!

Kelly Donahue

Hey everyone! My name is Kelly Donahue and I’m currently a senior at PVHS. I have a 4.86 weighted GPA and am an AP scholar. I have taken many AP and Honors courses at PV including AP US History and AP Psychology. My favorite subjects include Math, English, Psychology, and History. At school I am the president of Friendship Club, founder and president of a club called Brighter Days, a member of various honor societies, and a member of the varsity volleyball team. Outside of school I play on a club volleyball team and spend time volunteering for various organizations. I enjoy spending time with my friends, watching shows, and taking day trips with my friends. Cynthia Ho

Hey everyone! My name is Cynthia Ho and I’m currently a senior at PVHS. Although I have various hobbies, my passion lies in art and STEM. My artwork has been displayed in local art shows, sold as logos for small businesses, and auctioned off to fundraise for cancer research. Extending my creativity from art to engineering, I designed mechanisms for the ROV underwater robotics competition (we won 7th in the world championship this year!) and worked with satellite test engineers at my Boeing internship last summer. At school, I am the co-founder and co-president of the Digital Arts Club, editor-in-chief of the Tradewinds Literary Magazine, and vice president of sustainability of Science National Honor Society. No matter how busy the week may be, I always find a way to free up time to sketch at the park and catch up on my favorite animes!

Janna Lee

Hi there! I’m Janna Lee, a senior at Palos Verdes High School. I have had a great time learning at Palos Verdes High School and am happy to help you in your academic journey! I have a 4.73 GPA. History, Math, and Science are my specialty. But, I am more than happy to take a look at your English paper! I will have taken 15 APs this year and am delighted to point you in the right direction. I am a president of SNHS, General-Secretary of MUN, and am involved with NHS, CSF, and ENHS. Outside of school, I am the leader of the Teen Science Cafe at the Aquarium of the Pacific, a Junior docent at the Palos Verdes Interpretive center, the President of the International Music Missionary, a member of Assembly, and have finished the Certificate of Merit of the Advanced Level of Piano. I have researched under the Lundquist Institute and won an Earth Science Nasa Award for my project on Delaying Desertification in Certain Soil Types by Manipulating Alkalinity and Some Abiotic Factors. When I’m not studying, you can find me drawing, reading a ridiculously long book, playing the piano, or listening to various music. I look forward to working with all of you!

Tatiana Lindahl

Hi! My name is Tatiana Lindahl and I am a senior at Palos Verdes High School. I am an AP Scholar with a 4.8 weighted GPA and a 4.0 unweighted GPA. I love science and math, so naturally my favorite classes include chemistry, astronomy, and any math course. At school, I am involved in Link Crew, CSF, SNHS, NEHS, and MUN. Outside of school, I find myself reading, volunteering online and in person, playing chess, painting, and taking frequent beach trips. 

Daniel Chu

Hello! My name is Daniel Chu and I’m a senior at Palos Verdes High School. I work very well with younger students as well as those closer to my age as I have helped my brothers in third grade and eighth grade with their homework and have been a part of many teams. I have a 4.76 weighted GPA and scored 1520 on the SAT with a 790 in math. In school, I am a leader for a robotics team in PVIT, the Captain of the Varsity cross country team as well as the Captain of the JV tennis team. I’m involved in multiple honor societies, AP and honors classes, and Science Olympiad. I love math and science and would love to help students in their studies of these areas. Outside of school you can find me hanging out with friends, mountain biking around the hill, or playing video games with my brothers. I'm looking forward to working with you!

Alex Donell

At school, I’m an Editor in Chief of the Triton Yearbook, a captain on the softball team, and a Girl’s State Alternate. I’m also a member of NHS, NEHS, CNHS, SNHS, CSF, and Link Crew. Outside of school, I love to volunteer and serve as the Senior Class Vice President for my volunteer organization, Los Amigos. I’ve worked at Big Island Eats for a year and a half, and I also have experience with ecommerce and customer service through working for an Etsy company. My favorite subjects are math and science, and I received 4’s and 5’s on AP Bio, AP Seminar, AP European History, AP Lang, and AP Psych. I love baking and watching reality TV in my free time. Max Colomer

YALE UNIVERSITY

Hi! I'm Max Colomer and I'm a senior at Palos Verdes High School. I have a 4.96 GPA and scored a 1540 on the SAT; I am also an AP Scholar with Distinction. I would be happy to help in any math or science, but my favorite subject is physics. I have taken all of the physics classes at our school and scored a 5 on their AP tests. I am also the captain of the PVIT FRC team, I'm in most of the honors societies, and I'm on the varsity swim team. Last summer I was an intern for The Boeing Company, where I worked on updating processes for archiving satellite test data. I play the alto and tenor saxophone in the school's jazz band, and play at gigs with a jazz quintet. I have enjoyed every class that I have taken, and I look forward to working with you this year!

Alexis Choi

Hi everyone! My name is Alexis Choi and I am a senior at Palos Verdes High School. At school, I am involved in many activities such as SNHS (Vice President of Outreach), NEHS (Vice President), NHS, CSF, and Link Crew. I have been a member of the Varsity Song team for 4 years and am passionate about bringing dance to our community. I co-founded a company called PV Dance Alliance to bring affordable and high quality dance instruction to the South Bay. I am involved in PVIT Space Team, where we are attempting to launch a CubeSat into space! I have furthered my knowledge in C++ and will be serving as CEO this year. I have taken a variety of honors and AP courses, my favorites being AP Physics 1 and AP Language/Composition. I tutored for this company last year and loved curating creative lesson plans and fostering a positive learning environment. In my free time, I work at Riviera House, listen to house music, and eat good food with friends.

Christine Xie

Hello, I’m Christine Xie! I’m a junior at Palos Verdes High School and have a 4.9/4.0 GPA. I have scored a 5 for AP Chemistry, Calculus BC, Biology, and World History and scored a 4 on AP European History. My strongest subjects are Math, Science, and English, and I can offer great advice on test-taking tips and how to study well. In addition to being an AP Scholar with Distinction, I am and have been Editor-In-Chief of the Triton Yearbook since last year, Founder and President of The Branch, Vice President of SNHS, Varsity tennis player, and more. Outside of school, I am raising funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in honor of my friend, who has been in remission for a year (yay!), to help researchers find a cure and to help patients and their families financially. I love to bake, hang out with friends, and try new restaurants with my family. I’m super excited to meet all of you!

Angel Shen

Hi everyone! My name is Angel Shen and I’m a Junior at Palos Verdes High School. I have taken various honors and AP classes and have maintained a 4.0 unweighted GPA and a 4.95 weighted GPA. I enjoy all the academic subjects but my favorites are science, math, and English. I am currently involved in the Science National Honor Society (VP of outreach), French Honor Society (Historian), and National English Honor Society(Secretary). I am also the co-founder of a club called SiSTEM. Outside of school, I mentor at a volunteer organization called South Bay Math Circle. In my free time, I love spending time with friends, drawing, and listening to music. I can’t wait to meet you all!

Vanya Agrawal

Hello! My name is Vanya Agrawal, and I am a junior at Palos Verdes High School. I take various AP and honors courses and have a GPA of 4.8/4.0. My favorite subjects include music, physics, French, English, and math, and I love tutoring elementary and middle school students at Best in Class Education Center. At school, I am involved in many honor societies and clubs, including CSF, Science National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and the Human Rights Coalition, serving as a board member for several. I am also the marching band Drum Major as well as a PEF Student Ambassador. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering with Los Amigos and the Lundquist Institute, writing songs, learning Indian Classical dance and vocal, and hanging out with friends!

Rose Feng

Hello everyone! My name is Rose Feng and I’m a junior at PVHS. I have a 4.0 unweighted and 5.0 weighted GPA as of now and am happy to tutor in Math, Biology, English, Piano, and Chinese. My favorite classes I’ve taken are AP Biology (5), AP European History (5), English, Orchestra, and Philosophy 101 at El Camino. In school, I’m part of Varsity tennis, Science NHS, Music NHS, Art club, French club, and Library club. Outside of school, I am one of the founding members of BSA Girl’s Troop 258 and have served two terms as Senior Patrol Leader. Some of my hobbies are making art, watching dark films, and dreaming up stories for my original characters.

Kyleigh Cunningham

Hi! I’m Kyleigh Cunningham, a junior at PV high. I have a 4.5 weighted and a 3.9 unweighted gpa. In school, I am on the varsity song team, a link crew leader, a reporter for live from 205, and a part of over 5 clubs including science research. I am in CSF, and PAC along with SNHS and ENHS. Outside of school, I volunteer every week at community helpline and have achieved 100+ hours of community service for families in need through NCL from many other philanthropies for the past 5 years. I also work at fusion studios as a dance teacher and assistant. I lived in Madrid, Spain, for a big part of my elementary school and learned spanish. I took Spanish 3 Honors in the 8th grade and 4 AP as a freshman. Therefore, Spanish is one of my stronger subjects, although I also love English and science. In my free time, I love to dance, watch Netflix and spend time with my friends. I look forward to meeting you all!!

Mark Lin

Hey everyone!  My name is Mark Lin, and I’m a junior at Palos Verdes High School.  I am an AP Scholar with Honors and have a 5.0 weighted GPA.  I’m a huge fan of historical facts and the sciences, with World History AP being my favorite class so far!  My love for science has led me to compete in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), where I earned 4th place in the category of microbiology.  In school, I am the Vice President of Training for Model United Nations, Vice President of Membership for Science National Honor Society, Vice President of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, and a Section Leader in the school’s Marching Band.  Outside of school, I am the Senior Patrol Leader for my local Boy Scout troop and love outdoor activities.  On weekends, you’ll find me biking, surfing, playing Magic: the Gathering, or cooking.  I’m looking forward to working with you!

Clarence Lin

Hello! My name is Clarence Lin, a Junior at Palos Verdes High School. I have a particular fondness for math and science, and I am more than willing to tutor any subject “academic” in nature. Along with being an AP Scholar with Honors and maintaining a 4.9 weighted GPA, I am also involved in many of Palos Verdes High School’s honor societies, Mock Trial, and Model United Nations. I have been a part of the Cyber Security team in PVIT for three years and the Section Leader for the Marching Band’s Brass section for 2 years. Outside of school, I am the Publication and Editorial Director for the non-profit organization “PressFriends”, the Vice President of Operations for a data science group called “MINDS”, and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader for Boy Scout Troop 783. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, video games, and Magic the Gathering, practicing the trumpet or french horn, and reading (I mostly read educational texts, but my favorite story genre is fantasy). I look forward to working with everyone and having a great year!

Samantha Lekawa

Hi everyone! My name is Samantha Lekawa and I'm a junior at Palos Verdes High School. I have taken and am currently taking many honors and AP classes, and I have maintained a 4.0 unweighted and 4.8 weighted GPA. I’m also a part of the Varsity Song team at Palos Verdes, and many activities around school, including many clubs, French National Honors Society, NEHS, SNHS, CSF, Mock Trial, and Link Crew. Outside of school, I enjoy volunteering for the National Charity League, where I am serving as the President for my 2024 class for the 2022-2023 year, and I will also be raising funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. Sedona Ding

Hi everyone! I’m Sedona Ding, a junior at Palos Verdes High School. I have a 4.87 weighted GPA, and I specialize in teaching younger students all subjects, having practice tutoring my two sisters. In school, I am Executive Producer of Open Orchard Productions, a broadcast journalism podcasting course, and a commissioner of Be the Change. I am also an active member of CSF, various honors societies, and the varsity softball team. Outside the classroom, I am the Vice President of National Charity League, and assist in coaching a 14u softball team in my USA Athletics travel organization. You will often find me on the softball field, where I spend most of my hours, but when I’m not training I love traveling with friends and binging tv shows!

Alex Naehu

Hi there! I'm Alex Naehu, a junior at PVHS. I'm an AP Scholar with Honors and carry a 5.0 GPA. Along being involved with many honor societies on campus, I'm also an Associate of Training for the PVHS Model United Nations program, a Software lead for the PVIT Unmanned Arial Vehicle (AUV) Team, and am also on the First Robotics Competition (FRC) Team and Technology Student Association (TSA) Team. I'm a returning 3 year nationally ranked runner and team captain for the Varsity Cross Country and Track teams, but enjoy ping pong in my free time as well. Outside of school, you can find me on the road running, at the piano botching classical pieces, or in the kitchen cooking up a storm. With prior experience in tutoring independently, I am excited to transition to working with you through PV Tutoring Co. See you all soon!

Ransom Liu

Hi everyone! My name is Ransom Liu, and I am a junior at Palos Verdes High School. I have taken more than 3 AP tests as of now, and am recognized as an AP scholar with Honor. I specialize in teaching math, Chinese, physics, and computer science. On campus I am a percussionist for the PVHS Marching Band, a member of Tri-M music honor society, and was the lead pianist for our school play, Peter and the Starcatcher. I am also the programmer for our school’s VEX robotics team, where we managed to go to Worlds last year in Dallas and placed 24th out of 800 teams! In my free time I love to play piano, tennis, and Valorant with my friends. I can’t wait to meet and work with you!

Richard Criley

Hey guys! My name is Richard Criley and I am a Sophomore at the University of California, Berkeley pursuing a bachelor’s degree in economics. I graduated from Palos Verdes High School in 2021 as valedictorian with a 4.93 GPA and a 36 ACT score. I have been tutoring for over 5 years and have experience with a wide variety of subjects, from standardized test preparation to mathematics, science, and English. On weekends I like playing beach volleyball with my friends, trying espresso at a new café, playing the piano, baking sourdough, or homebrewing in my basement.
